Indicative Notice for Recruitment of Technicians
The Ministry of Railways, Government of
India, through its various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), has released an
indicative notice inviting online applications for the recruitment of Technician
Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III under CEN No. 02/2025. This recruitment
drive is intended to fill thousands of vacancies across the Indian Railways,
providing a significant opportunity for eligible candidates across the country.
Important Dates
The online application process will open
on 28th June 2025 and close on 28th July 2025 at 23:59 hours. Applicants are
strongly advised to complete and submit their applications well in advance of
the deadline to prevent any last-minute technical problems or delays.
Please note that applications will be
accepted only through online mode. Submissions via any other method will not be
considered.
Post Details and Vacancies
The notification outlines recruitment
for two categories:
1️⃣ Technician Grade I Signal
- Pay
Level (7th CPC): Level 5
- Initial
Pay: ₹29,200/-
- Medical
Standard: B-1
- Age
Limit (as of 01.07.2025): Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of
age.
- Total
Vacancies (All RRBs): 183
2️⃣ Technician Grade III
- Pay
Level (7th CPC): Level 2
- Initial
Pay: ₹19,900/-
- Medical Standard: In accordance with Annexure 'A' of the detailed CEN.
- Age
Limit (as of 01.07.2025): Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of
age.
- Total
Vacancies (All RRBs): 6,055
✅ The total combined vacancies under
this notification amount to 6,238 posts across Indian Railways.
General Instructions for Applicants
Candidates are required to follow these
instructions carefully:
- One
RRB, One Pay Level, One Application:
Each candidate is permitted to apply to only one RRB for a particular Pay Level Only one common online application is permitted for any or all of the notified posts within that Pay Level. - Separate
Applications for Different Pay Levels:
If a candidate wishes to apply for both Pay Levels (5 and 2), they must submit separate applications, one for each Pay Level. - Verification
of Personal Details:
Applicants are strongly advised to verify and ensure their primary personal details, including Name, Date of Birth, and other information in Aadhaar or Digilocker, match exactly with the details in their 10th class pass certificate. This is to avoid inconvenience and delays during the recruitment process, especially since special scrutiny is applied to Non-Aadhaar verified applications. - Aadhaar
Details:
It is recommended to update Aadhaar to reflect the full name and accurate date of birth as per the 10th certificate. Candidates should also ensure their Aadhaar carries the latest photo and biometrics (fingerprint and iris).
These steps are critical to achieving
successful Aadhaar-based verification and preventing rejections due to
discrepancies during document checking.
